Dear blogger,
I’m so glad you posted this informative article concerning black tea!
I’m the creator of an informational website devoted to tea, and really like this topic.
Green tea usually takes the spotlight for health benefits, and leaves its other three cousins white, oolong, and black in the shadows. Although white tea is starting to emerge as the next “green tea” as of late concerning health.
For other folks who are reading this, what is written above is true! Black tea can do all of the wonders green tea offers. Now while it may be true that green tea does contain more antioxidants, catechins, and plant polyphenols responsible for these benefits since it is less processed than black tea…this difference isn’t night and day.
However, this is…
Drinking any tea loose leaf style instead of brewing by the tea bag will determine how many of these goodies you receive! Why? Well that is because loose leaf tea retains more of its essentials oils which in turn house our antioxidants. Not that tea bags will provide none, its just that those little dried up piece of tea leaves lose most of their oils and are very old before they reach your cup! So they offer very little.
Another important thing to consider is taste! Loose leaf black tea will have better flavor than ordinary tea bag tea such as Lipton or Tetley. Give loose tea a try, and you’ll experience tea the way it was meant to be enjoyed
Some common varieties of black tea are, Assam teas, Ceylon tea, Irish Breakfast, English Breakfast, and Earl Grey. There are also cool flavored black teas out there too which taste awesome!
Hope this additional insight helps!
Enjoy!
