Green tea Benefits
There are numerous green tea benefits. Green tea is very popular in China; they use it to treat headaches, depression. In China this green tea has been used as a medicine for over 4000 years. In scientific research studies it has been proved that green tea can also help in curing cancer. It helps in reducing the risk of esophageal cancer in both men and women by nearly 65 %.In a recent research it has been concluded that there are certain compounds in green tea that inhibits the growth of cancer cells.
There are lots of Green tea benefits like it helps in reducing blood cholesterol. Green tea has proved beneficial in curing infection, cardiovascular diseases, and impaired immune function. Green tea is rich in polyphenols, mainly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG),it is a powerful antioxidants and kills cancer cells without harming other healthy tissues. It also stops the abnormal formation of blood clots which can occur if LDL cholesterol level increases in blood. These blood clots can result into heart attacks if not cured at any early stage, and green tea reduces these blood clots.
The is a special kind of preparation of green tea leaves ,they are processed by steaming tea leaves which prevents the EGCG compound from being oxidized, on the other hand other tea leaves like black tea is prepared by fermented leaves. Green tea also helps in reducing weight, a combination of caffeine with green tea extract results in burning more calories. Green tea can also prevent tooth decay, also its anti bacterial properties can prevent, tooth decay and even food poisoning.
Green tea is not recommended for people who are suffering from insomnia as it contains caffeine. However green tea contains less caffeine than coffee. Also it is not recommended for people who are allergic to caffeine, as small amount of caffeine can aggravate allergies.
