Get a Swimmers body
Swimming is a great exercise. A trim swimmers body physique is very attractive. Did you know that you do not have to be a swimmer to get that V-shaped frame? Weight training can give you the same desired look.
It is not easy it is hard work. You can do it with the right exercise, diet, and fitness plan. Below are some tips to develop a V-shaped body.
You need to decrease your percentage of body fat. The body fat of the average person is 15 percent. A swimmer has 6 to 20 percent body fat. The goal is to have 10 to 15 percent body fat.
Men tend to store their fat around the middle and above. A swimmer has a trim waist line and a lean muscular back. That is a shape to strive for.
Along with your weight training workout three times a week, you should also do a cardio workout three times a week. Take one day off from any exercise. Aerobics will aid in burning fat and help you in your weight training with your endurance. You may need to lose some fat to reach your goals.
You need to watch your diet. You want a low fat high protein diet with lower calories if you need to lose body fat. A good rule of thumb is that one pound equals 3500 calories. So to lose one pound you will need to eat 500 calories less a day in one week.
The first week of a diet people usually take off a little more than a pound. This is water weight. Stay on your diet and it will be real fat loss. You may lose weight faster because of your exercise routine. Everyone knows you need to eat fewer calories than you expend to lose weight. You will not see muscle definition until you lose the fat.
Weight training builds lean muscle. Focus on large muscle groups like your chest, abs back, and shoulders. Get a good weight training routine and with aerobics and diet you will be on your way to that V-shaped body you desire.
