Freedom from Flabby Thighs

If you have a desire to wear short and smart mini skirts, you require proper toned thighs to do that. Flabby thighs act as an obstacle to one’s looking beautiful, fit and healthy and thus everyone tries to tone the lower body through every possible method. While the entire workout of the body does help in toning of the thigh region, there are some specific exercises for this particular region. By following some given exercises, one can reduce the flabbiness from one’s thigh along with bringing about a toning of one’s thigh region.

Use of ankle weights has been found useful for the treatment of flabby thighs. This involves the strapping of ankle weights with weights of 5 pounds or less in the beginning. One should then lie down on one side with bottom leg bent at knee and top leg fully extended. Lift your top leg about a foot off the ground and then slowly lower it until the toe almost touches the floor. Repeat 15 to 20 times and then switch to the other leg.

If one goes to the gym, one can find various leg machines available there which help in bringing about a workout of the front and back of the thighs. Leg extension machines can be useful for quadriceps and leg curl of hamstrings and if this machine is not available, one can try squats or lunges with dumbbells in hands. Sweep kick is another exercise which is useful in the removal of flabby thighs. This involves assuming a boxer’s stance with hands in front of chin and elbows at the side, left foot forward and right foot a few inches back. Balancing on the left leg, one should lift the right knee up and kick the foot straight out, sweep it around to the side and then back to the floor. While keeping the abs tight, this step or exercise should be repeated 15 to 20 times with each leg. By following the given exercises, one can possess smart and toned legs which one would be proud to flaunt through dresses of one’s desire.
