Foods that Lower Cholesterol

Sometimes we take food substances that are essential for the proper body functioning from our food list. You could easily stop intake of medicines used for controlling the cholesterol. Read the following points that could enable you to reduce the cholesterol content in your body.

Try these:

1.    Fruits, oatmeal, and cereals contain greater amount of fibers. Fiber can absorb the cholesterol molecules in your body. Include these kinds of fiber rich substances in your breakfast. Start a day with low cholesterol food.

2.    Beans are helpful in controlling the cholesterol quantity. Make different food items out of beans and have them at least 4 times a week. Soya which is rich in protein can help remove the cholesterol. Enjoy the various delicious forms of Soya food.

3.    You should have at least five servings of vegetables a day.

4.    Fruits contain a fairly large quantity of fiber, but when you consume them in form of juice there is not much advantage. In juice, the fibers of the fruit almost disappear. Eat fruit in its bare form including its skin.

5.    Liver produces a small amount of cholesterol, which can be controlled through use of garlic. Garlic contains certain components that regulate the production of cholesterol in liver. Include garlic in any form in your daily diet.

6.     Strawberries, grapes, oranges etc contain Vitamin E and Vitamin C. These vitamins are considered as anti oxidants which burn accumulated fat in our body.

7.    Consumption of beverages like beer in a low quantity helps to control cholesterol. On the other hand serious drinking can cause the opposite effect. Drink once in a week to get a healthy and positive effect of the beverage.

8.    Vegetarian mode of food style appreciates lower cholesterol. If you really cannot eat truly vegetarian, use chicken that has lower cholesterol.
