Facial Skin Care

Every men and women desire healthy skin. Exercise, rest, and good nutrition are the building base of a beautiful and healthy skin. Appropriate skincare, optimum sleep every night, a balanced diet and an extra effort to keep skin healthy are some prerequisites of skin care.

Exfoliation is important which most people do not realize in regular skin care. Our skin also hydrates and requires suitable nutrients to keep it healthy. Drinking purified and plenty of water is also essential to keep skin healthy. Water helps in hydration of the skin and removal of waste and toxicants from the body. Ultraviolet radiation is extremely harmful for the skin and causes wrinkles, age spots, untimely aging, and even cancer. Every precaution should be taken to prevent skin from exposure to sunrays. Always use a sunscreen before going out or a moisturizer containing sunscreen. If possible carry umbrella, which is the best defense.

Toners used on skin should be alcohol-free as alcohol has a dying effect on the skin. Toners are good to remove all kind of dirt, such as grease or grime, make-up and even cleanser that remains after cleansing. Toner cleanses but also calms, nourishes, hydrates and freshens up the skin. It helps in clogging up the skin pores.  Never use harsh soaps, harsh face scrubs on face.  A sponge bath with warm water is good to clean and revive skin without depriving skin of its precious moisturizers.

Alpha hydroxy acid helps in preventing acne outbreaks in case of acne prone skin. If your skin is very oily, wash your face more frequent but use natural and very mild cleansers.
Always remember that skin needs to be moisturized in every season of the year.  Olive oil is an effective moisturizer and can be massaged regularly to have soft and supple skin. Olive oil with melted beeswax is an effective lip balm.
