Exposed Myths of Cardio Training
August 17, 2009
Lots of people are fooled by the wrong assumptions of cardio vascular training and they fall victim to such myths. Many hours are wasted on developing such workouts to build lean muscle mass with cardio workouts, which is not at all possible. We need to spend the time properly and think over the realistic facts and should not believe these myths.
Focused Cardio Training
Cardio, which is done focusing on particular portion of muscle groups are expected to give some good results if followed strictly. For example, doing crunches and sit-ups for long periods of time can remove fat in from our bellies.
We can also do leg lifts or some other physical activity to reduce fat in other portions of our body such as arms and legs. Cardio can be used to reduce fat while only weight training or strength workouts can build muscles.
Cardio can affect the overall body and increase our heart beat rate. The body can deplete the energy, which we have in our blood stream and while doing high intense cardio workouts after weight training, our body consumes the fat, which is stored in our muscles. The cardio is not specific for muscle building but it can be used to burn excess fat content.
The best cardio workout is low intensity cardio workout, which is done for long time. The cardio can be done for long hours without much effort but it’s quite boring.
For avoiding it, we can read books, listen to music, or do some activity as a break out and then get back to the workout. Doing such low intense workouts can burn fat slowly and then we can become slim and fit.
The low intense workouts increase the metabolism levels of our body and we begin to lose fat easily. The fat is lost while we are at rest.
People want nice abs and muscles but they are afraid to work hard for it. They appear to get a good body later. The cardio training needs to be done so that they can reduce fat as well as increase muscles mass.
A proper diet along with rest and recuperation can help in muscle growth. We need at least 8 hours of sleep and only during that time, the growth hormone play its role and increases the muscle size.
Cardio can be complement to strength training and help increase the stamina required for doing such workouts. So, just by doing cardio we cannot gain muscle mass and we should do it as supplement to weight training.
