Exercising the aerobic way
Everyone would agree that the best way to keep healthy and fit is to follow a regular exercise regimen.
Aerobics as a form of exercise is catching on in today’s fast paced world. It is an exercise of moderate intensity which makes one breathe harder and longer thus inhaling more oxygen than one would normally do. Aerobic exercises involve walking, running, jogging, kickboxing, swimming, cycling, skating, etc.
One form of aerobic exercise is skating also known as rollerblading. This is a most popular sport among the youngsters. It strengthens the lower back and enhances cardiovascular development. Kickboxing aerobic exercise is useful in losing weight quickly as one burns about 350-450 calories in a fifty minute workout session. Initially kickboxing should be done as basic stretching of muscles and cardio warm up. As the body gets used to the movements, one can proceed to advanced levels which include punches, kicks, and hand strikes.
Walking is the simplest form of aerobic exercise and best suits those who shirk away from strenuous exercises. Walking can be started as a 10 minute stroll, gradually increasing the speed and time limit. Once better stamina is built up, high intensity workouts can be incorporated. Jogging and cycling are both effective aerobic exercises.
Swimming, particularly during the summer season, is an excellent way to beat the scorching sun. This also helps you stay fit and healthy. Swimming is considered to be the most complete form of exercise as it involves movement of all parts of the body. While moving against the force of the water, every single cell in the body is activated and made to work harder. If you have learned to swim and have a pool nearby, don’t miss the chance to jump into it.
Another aspect of aerobic exercising is dancing or steps of exercises which look like dancing. It is not a new thing to sway to the tunes of your favorite music. Aerobics trainers have been innovative to include this in their exercise schedule, making aerobics not just a way to stay fit but to be happy and enjoy the workout sessions.
