Exercises for the feet

It is a pleasure to walk on the grass with bare feet. It’s not only pleasurable but it is also a very good exercise for the feet as well.
Here are some simple and good exercises for the feet:-

Foot stretch: – stretch your legs in front of you while sitting on the floor. Take a towel and loop it around the feet. With the heel on the floor, pull the towel with both hands. Pull the towel so as to bring the mid foot and the toes near your body. Hold this position for a few seconds and then repeat it 5 times.

Ankle stretch: – with your legs in front of you, sit straight. Stretch your toes down and then pull them towards you as much as you can without any problem. Hold this position for a few seconds and then repeat about ten times.

Toe agility: – sit down on a chair and place a towel on the floor under your toes. Keep the towel in the reach of the toe but away from the foot. Now with the help of the toes, drag the towel back under the foot. Keep on dragging until the toes are worked out.

Foot turn in: – sit on the floor with your legs stretched out in front of you. Now turn your foot and ankle inwards to your midline. While doing this, you will feel the outside of your calf and ankle gently stretched. Hold this position for some time and then repeat.

Foot turn out: – with your legs stretched out while in a sitting position, turn your foot and ankle outwards to your side and away from the midline. By doing this your calf’s and ankles will feel a gentle stretch on the outside. Hold this position for some time and then repeat.
