Emotional Fitness And Conception
As physical health is important for proper conception and successful pregnancy, the emotional state of a woman is also important. Generally women keep on thinking about their coming babies. They keep on thinking that they will be mothers some day. They are always surrounded by expectations from their loved ones.
When we are not ready to conceive, the remarkable build in mechanism helps us to avoid it. The body usually doesn’t ovulate when the food supply is less. Likewise, the hypothalamus generally switches off its supply of activating hormones when we are under severe emotional stress and pressure.
Symptoms of depression are generally spotted in women who have infertility problems over the fertile women. One can adopt various ways to build a strong emotional health. They are as follows:
1. Therapies and techniques that help in relaxing should be adopted. Like yoga, acupuncture or massages. Women who have high stress levels produce a high level of the hormone prolactin, which prevents ovulation. These women are also less likely inclined towards sex.
2. Go out with your partner. Do something special. You can go on a romantic holiday or a weekend getaway, so that you can give some time to your relationship and remember the things you love in your partner.
3. Opt for a moderate regular exercise. You can go walking, cycling or can choose some adventurous sport that interests you. Swimming is also a good option. Walk the stairs rather then taking a lift. Play with the kids instead of watching them play. All these things will reduce the feeling of depression and stress.
4. You can also go for some professional help or counseling. Going for couple counseling, group support or couple therapy can be very effective in reducing stress.
5. Try to read articles about fertility problems and educate yourself. Talk to your doctor, friend or even couples about the situation. Be informed about medical techniques and technologies that are happening.
The ability to react to your feelings at the right time and facing them instead of fearing them is what good emotional health is all about.
