It would seem that just about every person who eats meat loves sushi. Eating fish has become increasingly popular. While fish is very good for you, it is important to understand that there are some negative effects you might experience. It is important to eat everything in moderation. Before you decide to start adding more fish to your diet, consider a few of these things.
It has been recommended by the American Heart Association that you eat at least two servings of fish per week. I know that there are a lot of us out there who do not eat nearly that much.
It is important to eat fish regularly because it helps reduce the risk of heart disease. Fish is good but you should look for the fattier style fish like albacore tuna, mackerel, salmon and even sardines. Now there is even more reason to enjoy more fish dishes at dinner time.
Doctors will recommend that you eat your fair share of fish every week. Why is it so good for you? There are important fatty acids known as “omega three” acids. These are very good for your overall health. On top of this, it is great for your skin complexion.
I know that will please many of you out there who want to look and feel great. Omega three acids help to improve your circulatory system. This can help lower your risk of developing blood clots. It has even been shown that the consumption of these fatty acids can reduce your risk of getting cancer.
While eating a regular amount of fish is great for you – eating too much can be bad for you. It is important to know that fish can contain amounts of mercury.
This can be very bad for women who are pregnant as it may harm their baby. There are some farmed fish that have been found to contain high amounts of dioxins and also PCBs.
These are unnatural chemicals, made by people. They find their way into the water and they can cause damage to your liver. They are especially bad for children. Just eat a balanced diet, do not eat too much of anything. Do not eat too much fish, but have it at least twice a week.
