Dry Skin
Dry skin may be primarily genetic but getting drier may be due to deficiency of an essential fatty acids. These are the fats that the body requires but cannot produce by itself. A diet low in omega-3 fatty acids for a long time can lead to dry skin. It also causes increased risk of heart disease and depression. In the quest of weight loss, women keep away from any food having fat.
Deficiency of vitamin A is also responsible dry skin and rashes. Insufficiency of niacin Vitamin B3 results in skin rash on areas exposed to the sun. Some of the specific months of the year are very unsuitable to dry skin, such as, March or October when there is a change of season. The skin lacks lustre, becomes prone to infections or eruptions with increased sensitivity.
People with dry skin problems should go for solutions for anti aging, dry skin and acne. Choose cleansers, moisturizers, serums to take proper care of skin to prevent further skin problems. In aged women, deficiency of oils causes dry skin, brittle hairs, and dryness in vaginal tissues. It also augments the risk of depression, fatigue, and inflammatory conditions.
To fight the problems of dry skin, increase the amount and variety of fatty foods in your diet. This will prevent dry skin and bring glow to your skin gradually. But not all fats are good for you. The fat that should be consumed is monounsaturated fat. It also lessens risk of heart disease. Some times dieting causes side effects such as constipation, dry skin, hair loss, nausea, gout, gallstones and diarrhea. The most effective cure of dry skin and problems related to dry skin is drinking plenty of water. Dry skin management also helps in detoxification. Do not use skin products, which add to skin dryness.
