When we think of eating, our thought goes to eating something nice. We think the nicer the food, the more nutritious it will be. No one will ever imagine that there are certain disgusting things that have a lot of benefits when eaten. The thought of eating these foods could be nauseating. But cod liver oil is a good source of omega-3 fatty acids which is a great protection against heart disease. It boosts the immune. It is used in treating arthritis, diabetes, depression and ulcers. It also contains vitamin D which people in regions with little sunlight lack sometimes.
