Dietary tips to reduce weight

Control energy input.
Keep an eye on every thing that goes into your mouth and choose your food wisely, including garnishes, sauces and accompaniments. You do not want a big bum to accompany your big appetite!

Control your sweet tooth and other cravings.

Unhealthy craving for sweet things cause more calorie consumption. Allow yourself a treat on a less regular basis and eat less.

Control meals times.
Eat at fixed times each day with half an hour of leeway in order to establish a healthy eating pattern which will result in your body being used to certain meal times and appetite will stabilize and cravings should subside.

Eat when you are hungry.
Is your stomach really empty or do you just want to fill your mouth? A week of dieting can be wasted by cheating one day or going overboard at a party with food or drink.

Stop snacking in between meals.
Junk food is less filling and less healthy, but snacking on fruit or other healthy food is beneficial. Avoid excess fat and calories, but keep the metabolism ticking.

Avoid caffeine.
Tea and coffee can be harmless by themselves, but adding cream and sugar increases calorie consumption. Black tea or coffee is the best option, but caffeine is best limited caffeine is an alkaloid and can affect other functions of your body and metabolism.

Count the calories.
The ability to read food labels and count calories of food leads to an educated eater who can control caloric intake. By making educated choices involving meals, you are nourishing your body and controlling calories and starting a lifelong habit.

An eating plan should be a lifelong commitment with provision for cheating and social functions without going overboard and consuming excess calories on a daily basis.

Eat regular, healthy meals and limit fat intake. Make sure there is enough fresh food, protein and carbohydrates to support your daily energy expenditure and you will have a perfect balance in your life.
