February 12, 2009
Ever wished you had a magic wand that would fix all your problems, especially skin problems? Every day a large number of people get affected by so many skin problems. There are acne, skin discoloration, blisters, blemishes, psoriasis and what not.
Psoriasis occurs on particular parts of the body, namely knees, elbows and scalp. The symptoms are bad nails and plaques.
The best way to tackle and prevent this problem is to have a healthy diet. This means you need to add a number of highly nutritious foods in your daily meals. Consume more food that contains omega 3 fatty acids, zinc, beta carotene, etc.
Now the question is where to find these? You need to know what food items contain these nutrients. For omega 3 fatty acid, you need to consume more fish. Fishes like sardine, salmon, tuna contain a good amount of omega 3 fatty acids.
For beta carotene you need you have fruits. Fruits and green leafy vegetables are full of beta carotene. When you consume fruits and vegetables, the body converts the beta-carotene into vitamin C, which is beneficial for skin. Apart from that, studies show that people who eat more food that contains beta carotene have less risk of having psoriasis, thanks to the beta carotene and antioxidants, as they strengthen the immune system.
Another good source of fatty acids is flax seeds. Two best sources of fatty acids are sunflower and sesame seeds. What you can do is crush the seeds and store them in the refrigerator. Just sprinkle them on your food.
In order to stop infection it is better to consume Brazil nuts.
Psoriasis patients often tend to suffer from certain vitamin deficiencies. Here is where your regular breakfast cereals and bread come to the rescue. The cereals and bread contain folic acids that meet the deficiencies. Other than that you can also have green vegetables, like broccoli and Brussels sprouts, which are full of folic acid.
Doctors often recommend psoriasis patients to have a diet that is rich in fiber. Fiber helps to get rid of the stored toxins in the body and keep you healthy.
It is better to avoid alcohol and read meat.

Thanks for the tips, I have been trying so many treatments without any help. Thank you.
