Designing a Body Building Routine
A proper and adequate body building weight training routine is one that works all of the body’s muscle groups. It should consist of a variety of exercises that incorporate each of the muscle groups as well as the cardiovascular system.
When you are planning a body building routine, you need to consider your current state of health. Your health will affect your ability to not only lift weights but recover from the strenuous workout as well as protect you from injury. It is important to know your physical limits. If you are new to body building, the best bet is to start slowly with low weights and as you become more accustomed to the routine and the stress, add extra weights and more repetitions.
Another factor to consider when you begin body building is what your goals are. Are you looking to tone your body, are you hoping to build more mass, are you looking to lose weight, or do you want to become stronger? Once you have figured out your goal you will need to devise a fitness routine to help you reach your goal.
A body building exercise routine will produce results if you follow the following pattern: workout five days and then take one day off to rest your body. Here is a suggestion for a daily routine that you should follow.
• On day one focus on your deltoids and triceps.
• On day two work on your back and traps.
• Take the third day off.
• On your fourth day work your legs and forearms.
• On the fifth day work out your chest and biceps.
• Take the sixth and seventh days off again to rest.
By following this routine you will work each of your body parts and their corresponding muscle groups. Plus, by taking days off, you will allow your body to rest and the muscles to regenerate which will help the muscles grow. It is important to take days off from body building so that your muscles can repair themselves.
Each person’s body building weight training routine and abilities. Keep your goals in focus and follow the above exercise routine to reach your goals.
