Curing Swine Flu through Homeopathy

November 2, 2009

homeopathyIn the past, homeopathy has successfully cured influenza. This was true during the epidemic in 1918. From the patients, only 1% died compared to the 30%, who had treatment in the conventional way.

Following is a case of a nineteen-year old girl from Houston, who spent her vacation in Spain, where an incidence of 1,500 H1N1 cases was present.

She suffered from flu, starting with a feeling that her body has gone weak.  She experienced fever with alternating chills. The following day she was vomiting and her throat started to swell and she experienced some pain in the throat and neck areas.

She also had trouble in swallowing, as if the throat had closed and would not allow any food to enter. She also felt some sensitivity to light in her eyes and started to feel weaker and weaker. Breathing was also starting to be difficult. Her vision started to double with a feeling of heaviness in the chest.

Though she had acetaminophen and ibuprofen, her condition did not get any better. The girl’s temperature remained at 99.9ºF. The critical period happened from day 1 to day 4 of her sickness. On the eighth day, she traveled back home.

Three weeks after that, she was still spending twelve to thirteen hours sleeping and was still looking tired.  Her main concern was the vision that became worse, when she started taking antibiotics.

She was seeing moving, colored, dotted lights and these made her incapable to perform her work as an artist.  Her legs and arms continued to remain weak. She also felt heaviness in her eyelids and her reflexes were slow. During the acute four days stage, her vision was really so affected, that she experienced double vision and she saw wavy lines that really distracted her vision.

With such condition, she was then, treated with homeopathic medicine through Gelsemium. Significant improvement was evident and after two days, there was already an improvement in her vision.

She then started to draw as she normally did and then her vision returned to normal.  The foggy vision was gone. Generally, Gelsemium had improved her condition.

Gelsemium had helped her overcome the pain and recover from the fever-chill experience, the heaviness of the eyelids, body weakness and the trembling.

This case proposes that we can consider Gelsemium for the treatment of swine flu, as this is an effective homeopathic medicine, which was in use since the early times.
