Cooking With Green Tea – Interesting Tips And Recipes
Green tea has so many different uses. You can have a hot cup of tea in the morning instead of your usual coffee. And of course, the properties for losing weight and for the good of your health go unsaid. Did you know that you can use green tea to cook with?
Green tea adds such a delicious flavor to certain foods. It is not difficult to add this as an ingredient to your cooking. Add some of the tea bags to water that’s boiling with your veggies, or use the tea itself as a spice or add it to your rice.
In order to cook with green tea, you first need to brew it. Of course, there is a special way to go about this so you get all of the great health benefits. Put some steaming water in a teapot and swish it around so the pot becomes warm. Once the entire pot is warm, pour out the water and add 2 to 4 bags of tea. Add 1¼ cups of boiling water and let it infuse for 3 minutes. You can then throw away the bags and you are ready to cook.
A great recipe for green tea is green tea potato salad. All you need to make this is 2 full size potatoes, 2 eggs, mayonnaise, 1 tsp of green tea powder and, to top it off, cherries and strawberries. Boil the eggs while you peel and boil the potatoes. While the eggs and potatoes are still hot you want to mash them and then refrigerate until the mixture is cold. Take the mixture out of the fridge and shape into little patties. Next, sprinkle with the tea powder and put the mayo on top. Use the cherries and strawberries as the garnish.
As you can see, cooking with green tea is easy and healthy to use. There are many other recipes that to can make using green tea. Do a little bit of research and you can start cooking healthier.
