Choose The Right Shoes For Running
Running or doing exercise is very important for staying healthy. There is no doubt about it. Have you ever thought that the shoes you wear for running or exercise, is a more serious issue to be taken care off? Most of us just take this aspect for granted that wearing shoes is enough to ensure health to feet and the whole body. Here, let me warn you that choosing the right shoes has tremendous impact upon health.
When it is about choosing the right shoes, does not mean that I am asking you to go for some expensive brands. My point is that, every person’s needs are different, as the physiological structure varies from person to person. So, you have to be aware about the needs of your feet and body.
Generally, all kinds of shoes we wear in our daily life have to withstand all kinds of activities. Yes, the shoes needs to endure various kinds of forces and pressures while assuring the wearer the balance and control over motion. The shoes we wear in our daily life are usually made keeping human beings’ biochemical needs in mind.
Now you must be thinking how to know about biomechanical needs? To know this, you can do a test called wet test. You have to take the wet foot print on a dry floor or paper. The shape of your foot print can give you a rough idea about how much stability you require in your shoes.
If your foot’s arc is well connected with forefoot with a broad band then it can be called as normal foot. These types of feet are called runners feet. They don’t need motion control feature in their shoes. So they can go for stability shoes.
People, who have flat feet (whole sole of the foot touches the floor), need motion control shoes. The shoes with firm midsole are suitable in this case. Never go for highly cushioned pair of shoes.
The last type of feet is high arched feet. Here, the band joining forefoot and heel is very narrow or invisible. Cushioned and flexible shoes are recommended for them.
