Chai Ice Cream

Chai, an Indian word for the tea, is a drink that has become the most necessary beverage for most of the people throughout the world. Even many people say that their morning as well as whole day turns bad if they don’t get a cup of tea in morning and if tea is added with ice cream, it will be wonderful combination. Following is a list of ingredients and the preparation method of tasty ‘chai ice cream’.

Ingredients
Milk- 1 cup
Sugar- ¾ cup
Whole allspices- 10
Salt- 1/8 teaspoon
Whole cloves- 10
Heavy creams- 2 cups
Full star of star anise- 1
Cinnamon sticks- 3
Whole peppercorns- 5
Black tea leaves- ¼ cup
Egg yolks- 6

How to prepare
Take a pan and stir half of cream, whole milk and spices in it.
Heat it until it become hot remember that don’t boil it.
Keep the heat lower and let it steep for 1 hour.
Put the pan again on the heat and boil it.
Stir black tea leaves in it and remove from heat.
Steep it for next 10 minutes.
Add the sugar and mix it, again put it on the heat.
Take a large mixing bowl and put ice and water in it.
Take the remaining cream in a bowl and set it in ice water bath.
Steep the leaves and until the cream has become chilled.
In another bowl, whisk the egg yolks well.
Put small amount of warm milk in it and stir well.
No need to cook it on high it you can place it on medium heat.
When mixture is thoroughly heated, pour it in the saucepan.
Keep it again on the heat.
Warm it until the custard goes thicken.
Coat it well at the gap of after 10 minutes.
Quickly pour it in the chilled cream that was placed in the ice bath.
Stir to stop cooking.
Strain out if it has any lumps.
Cool it for 2 hours and place it in refrigerator for chilling 10 hours.
You can season it with nuts.
Present it in desirable manner.
