Certified Organic Coffee – What Is It?
Have you heard about organic coffee? If you’re a coffee lover like me, you might have heard the hype that’s been around lately about certified organic coffee.
If you are wondering how to go about finding out more about organic coffee, look no further. You might be wondering what the real difference is between regular coffee and certified organic coffee. If you want to avoid all the hype and learn about certified organic coffee, this article is for you.
Regular Coffee – Is It Any Different From Organic Coffee?
You are probably eager to learn the difference between regular coffee and certified organic coffee. One of the key differences is that the organic coffee makers use techniques to grow, harvest and sell their coffee that are less harmful to the environment.
It is also grown and produced in a way so that there is no unfair treatment of the workers. This means that you can be sure you’re getting an environmentally friendly and cruelty-free product.
Traditional Plantations For The Manufacture Of Coffee
The regular, traditional style coffee plantations have some very different ways of making coffee for you. They use methods that often aren’t very good for the environment or for the people who are involved in manufacture.
The types of fertilisers and various chemicals used, like pesticides are not only bad for you, they’re terrible for the environment. They eventually go from the soil into the water underneath the ground. From here is goes out into the waterways, into lakes and other water supplies. It is a sure fire way to poison our own water!
Organic Coffee Uses Safer Techniques!
The places that grow organic coffee use techniques that are safer for you and the environment. They don’t use the same types of harsh chemicals that other coffee makers use.
They also grow their coffee in the shade, away from the harsh sun. Traditional coffee growers use dangerous chemicals to keep their coffee safe. However this doesn’t keep any of us safe! Shade-grown coffee takes longer to mature, but it is well worth the wait.
Certified organic coffee is the only type you should buy. It protects the environment and the workers who grow it.
