June 3, 2009

celluliteMany people scour the internet, ask people around them, and research many books just to find out if there is an easy remedy for cellulite. What they are unaware of is that the easiest remedy to cellulite is sitting nestled in the comfortable cupboard of your kitchen waiting to be used! Many individuals also prefer to spend hundreds of dollars on various high end cellulite creams; what they don’t realize is that there is a very inexpensive, easy to use remedy waiting to be explored within the four walls of your home.

In order to understand and know about the home remedy for cellulite, you should know what cellulite is. This term is used most commonly these days in the field of beauty. To look beautiful and young, you need to keep the cellulite content in your body to a minimum.

Cellulite is nothing but the extra fat accumulated in our body that deposits itself in the layer beneath the connective tissues pushing against the skin. This is what imparts a “cottage cheese” like look to the area around, which cellulite gets deposited.

There are many reasons for cellulite formation. Cellulite formation is noticed more in women than in men. In women, this problem can be noticed as early as 14 years old.

Heredity might be one common reason for cellulite formation. Most cellulite deposits are found in the regions around the buttocks and thighs, thus giving them a very chunky look.

The other reasons for cellulite formation are sedentary lifestyle leading to obesity, improper food habits, and poor circulation. Smoking and the consumption of alcohol are also the main reasons for formation of cellulite because they prevent proper excretion of wastes thus leading to cellulite formation.

Great! Now that we are aware of what cellulite is and the reasons for it, let us now know what home remedies are available. The first and foremost remedy comes in the form of water. Drink a lot of water, minimum of 8 glasses, to ensure that all the wastes and toxins in your body are excreted easily.

Another great cellulite remedy is coffee. Yes, coffee! It is not the coffee that you drink; it is the coffee powder. For application, take some powdered coffee and mix it with a good moisturizing lotion.

Now, apply it in places where there are cellulite deposits and keep it wrapped in a plastic wrap. Let is stand for at least 30 minutes so that it can activate the action.

Now, wash it off. By doing this for twice a week, you will begin to notice some great results. So there you are, an inexpensive, easy to apply home remedy for cellulite!
