Cardio Myths and Mysteries
August 22, 2009
Cardio has been considered as the best kind of workout and people are falling for the false publicity for it created by the trainers who use it to gain money.
There is some goodness in cardio as it can reduce the fat and it is pretty good to follow it in order to improve the health of our heart and cardio vascular muscles apart from the importance to the general body health. It keeps our energy levels high as it increases the metabolism levels of our body.
For people who are lazy cardio can be the only option to get into nice shape. The people who really want to build six-pack abs and huge biceps can never expect to get them by doing cardio workouts.
We can get lazy while doing weight workouts and for a change, we switch to low intense cardio workouts for some time. Doing cardio for weight loss is definitely a waste of time and it’s not the best one to follow.
Cardio especially traditional ones that suggest the use of expensive gym equipment like treadmills and do not give us any output are a mere waste of time. The people who are leading a busy life and do not have enough time to go to the gym cannot do such cardio workouts.
People can adapt to cardio within a short span of time. So, we will not lose weight after some time. Initially, if we were losing weight of 400 calories during the first few weeks, in the upcoming weeks we shall shed much less calories, may be around 100 and it slowly reduces and drops to zero once our body gets completely adapted to the cardio workouts.
Fat zone is a myth and is not real
We all have been fooled with a fact there is a zone called the fat loss zone at which our body starts losing all the excess fat stored in our muscles but it is not true and there is no such thing in reality.
Since the cardio workouts insists on such a zone, people tend to stick to it by watching the reading on the treadmill and other gym equipment, but they do not lose any weight after a particular time span and get frustrated.
The best way is to follow free weight training and other high intense workouts rather than traditional cardio, which cannot give us any good results.
