They also aim to increase the heart rate. Aerobics and cardio exercises are very effective in burning fat and helping weight loss by improving one’s metabolic rate. However, the benefits of aerobics do not end there.

Benefits of Cardio Exercises

These exercises help one’s respiratory system and improve breathing, while it also ensures the health of your heart. The obvious benefits include leaner muscles and a stronger physique.

Not only does it increase stamina, it also makes sure that the oxygen travels more efficiently throughout the body. It is great for women, as it reduces the risk of developing such conditions as osteoporosis.

Types of Aerobics Exercises

The great thing about aerobics exercise is that there are many varieties of it. This means that almost everyone can enjoy aerobics and use it to get the body and the healthy lifestyle they want.

Walking is one of the most popular forms of aerobics exercises. This low impact activity is great for those who are older or who experience joint pains. If you want to increase the intensity of the work out, all you have to do is to increase the speed at which you are walking.

Running and jogging are equally popular. Beginners are advised to start with walking and when they feel like they are ready, to move up to jogging or running. This can be done anywhere and it does not require any expensive equipment.

If you think that these activities will bore you, then you should think about taking aerobics dance classes. This is a little more high impact than walking, but it will surely keep you entertained, and once you get hooked you don’t have to worry about quitting.

However, if you do have problems with your joints, you can opt for a low impact aerobics dance course whereas if you want to lift the bar on your exercise routine, you can always choose a high impact aerobics dance lesson. There are also step aerobics and water aerobics available in most areas.
