Carbs: low or slow

Which kind of diet plan should one follow to remain healthy? This is a very common question faced by many people these days. Slow carb diet has taken over the low carb diet these days. People have started recognizing the fact that it is important to remain healthy. Slow carb diet is not the one which has no carbs at all. It only implies taking them in an effective manner and timely. It actually balances your way of eating.
Glycemic index (GI) is an index used for measuring the level of glucose due to intake of carbohydrate. Foods with high GI break faster during digestion than ones with low GI. Generally, foods with low GI level are preferred over the ones with high GI level. Low GI level products, like grains, fruits and vegetables are digested slowly and slowly and give the required energy supply to the body. These foods keep your stomach full for a relatively longer period of time and help in avoiding in-between snacks. On the other hand, foods with high GI content, like white bread, breakfast cereals, pastries etc are quickly digested, thus causing a rush of glucose and insulin in the body. This also has a negative impact on the pancreas at times, thus causing high sugar level, making you feel more tired.
A slow carb diet is full of healthy and complex carbohydrates, thus positively impacting the health of a person. Slow carb diet, full of vegetables, fruits, whole grains and even pastas are quite healthy foods that help to sustain the energy level of your body. These products are full of fiber and help in maintaining the blood pressure and cholesterol levels in your body. A slow carb diet is a mix of required proteins, fats and carbohydrates. One following the slow carb diet regularly will always lead a healthy life.
A diet full of cheese, bacon and butter lacks antioxidants, and is thus not good for health. Carbohydrates are a rich source of energy for the entire nervous system of a person. Lack of carbohydrates causes nausea, headache, weakness, and constipation. There can be a negative impact on the bones and the kidneys too. Thus, low or no carb diet is very harmful and can cause bad effects on the health. So, just go for a slow carb diet for the most effective results and relish your favorite foods.



























well I was trying to figure out if I was a diabetic at the age of 22. I am young and active but I feel tired at times and the thing is I eat alot of bread, and sugars which is not good I know this. well I have muscle but the thing is it isn’t attaching to my skin if you know what I mean. like loose muscle, well I was wondering should I stop exercising and eat my favorite foods or what should I do?
