Can spices make you live longer

Good news if you like your food spicy:Adding spices to your food such as sprinkling on cayenne pepper powder for a little extra punch, or adding hot-sauce, might actually prevent you from getting a life-threatening disease later on down the road.  In fact, just adding a touch of spice to your food can benefit your health in many ways. Adding pepper to your food can actually lower your blood pressure and cholesterol.  They can increase your metabolism, leading to weight-loss.  They can improve your circulation and decrease the frequency of your colds.  There are nutritional benefits to hot peppers as well.  Spices and hot-peppers are packed with vitamin A, C, beta-carotene, and other natural anti-oxidants.  So go ahead!  Pour on the hot-sauce.  For when you do, you will be doing more than adding flavor, you will actually be improving your health.

Sprinkle it on…
A lot of spices are available in powder form.  Cayenne pepper is one of these. It is great mixed with barbecue sauce.  So add a little zest when you are experiencing with the taste of barbecue chicken.  Other spices that come in powder form are chipotle, Cheyenne, and chai.  Chipotle is very spicy, so a little goes a long way.  The same goes with red pepper.  You can add chipotle to chili or even to season your fajitas!  You can mix these powdered peppers with mayo and put them on a burger.  There is no limit with what you can do with these powdered peppers, just use your imagination.

Pour it on…
Tabasco and Buffalo sauces are excellent to change chicken from ordinary to extraordinary.  Green chilies and red peppers soaked in vinegar make for an excellent flavor with chicken or barbecue pork.
