Can Juice Really Make You Healthier

It is the fact that health professionals or experts are emphasizing on the consumption of beverages. Health conscious individuals try to include more and more fruits and vegetables into their diets. For example, sometimes you add berries to the oatmeal, spinach on the pizzas, and switch over to salad leaving fries. But yet according to experts 70 percent of adults are not meeting the USDA target. The target includes nine servings of fruits and vegetables which mean four half cup portions of fruits and five half cup portions of vegetables daily. Now this can be comparatively overwhelming for busy women and men.  If you consume 12 ounces a day, it can be a suitable way to get two servings closer to the target.

Juices are highly nutritious. The nutrients present in the juices have been recognized to boost health by warding off cancer and preventing other age related complaints. A recent study by  “The American Journal of Medicine” stated  that people who consume more than  three servings of juices per week, which are rich  in polyphenols, antioxidants etc present in purple, cranberry, grape, grapefruit, and  apple juice, found  a 76 percent lesser risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease. Moreover, some stores contained juices are amazingly rich in many nutrients.

The requirement is to consume juices as a supplement rather than a replacement for all of the fruits and vegetables in daily diet plan. These juices or the beverages are usually higher in sugar and calorie content and lower in fiber as compared to the derivatives.  But researches have proved  that a blend of the two in the diet plan  may be extremely  beneficial to the overall health .It has also been found that  about eight servings per day of solids as well as liquids minimize 30 percent of the risk of heart attack or stroke.
