Cabbage Soup Diet

The Cabbage Soup Diet is very effective as a fat burning soup, because it consists of little amount of calorie. The routine cabbage diet is an unusual food blend that keeps you almost starving. Diet followers are permitted only water and cabbage soup they want with a very constrained amount of other foods.

The recipe for the cabbage soup includes
10 cups of water
2 green peppers
2 cans of crushed tomatoes
4 carrots
1 cup of mushrooms
1 celery bunch chopped
1/2 of green cabbage
1 pack of Lipton soup mix
1 can of V8 juice or tomato juice
2 cubes of chicken bouillon
5 green onions
Salt and pepper as per taste

The soup diet can be further divided into different recipes for the seven days of a week.
Day 1: includes cabbage soup and maximum fruit that can be consumed excluding bananas.
Day 2: includes cabbage soup and vegetables with potato and some butter.
Day 3: includes cabbage soup with fruit and other vegetables, excluding potatoes and bananas.
Day 4: includes cabbage soup and at least eight bananas and maximum skimmed milk that can be consumed.
Day 5: includes cabbage soup and almost 20 ounces of beef and up to six tomatoes.
Day 6: includes cabbage soup with as much beef and vegetables as possible to eat.
Day 7: includes cabbage soup with brown rice, vegetables without potatoes and sugar free fruit juice.

This Cabbage Soup Diet is originated at some American hospitals as a requirement for gravely obese patients to reduce some weight as soon as possible before surgery.
The Cabbage Soup Diet is totally impractical and is only helpful for some one who is interested in very short-term weight loss. It is in fact not possible to follow the cabbage soup diet for a longer period of time but may be effective in case of urgent weight loss.
