Breakfast In 10 Minutes
January 7, 2009
These are the days when we have gotten used to living on the fast track. Nothing can wait. We tend to compromise just about anything to keep up with this fast world and the first thing to be compromised is our meal.
The funny thing is that the easiest meal to skip is breakfast and yet it is the most important meal of the day. Men tend to skip breakfast more than women do. However, in doing this, they deprive their bodies of the essential energy that their body requires at the start of the day.
Here are some really great ideas to make some breakfast, really fast.
Juice it up
Have some juice in the morning. They are rich in carbohydrates and also many nutrients if you have the 100% pure juices. You can try the juices with pulp. Pulp will keep you full for longer and provide essential fiber for your digestive tract.
If you do not like fruit juice neat, then you can add it to your cereal instead of milk. That is a great idea and requires only a minute or two.
Go the milky way
Drink milk, it is good for your bones. You must have heard this from your mother a lot. Well, for once in your life, believe her, because it is true. Milk is a great source calcium besides some carbohydrates.
Grab a bar
Breakfast bars are fast, easy and delicious. They are full of nutrients, carbohydrates and fiber. Enjoy them while packing your body with all the energy you will need till your next meal. You can eat them with a glass of milk or juice, whatever you prefer.
Have fruits
Fruits are not only healthy but also delicious and the cherry on the cake is that you do not need any time to prepare them. They come prepared, just wash and bite into them for all the nutrients, carbs and fiber you need.
Papayas, apples, oranges, strawberries, blueberries, bananas, grapefruit, pears and apricots, there are so many varieties, you can choose from any of them. You can have them with some low-fat yogurt or pure honey for extra taste.
Avoid fats
Avoid any fats in the form of eggs, bacon or butter or sausages in the morning. Stay away from donuts and commercial muffins, go for homemade ones if you like. Even yesterday’s leftover pizza is no healthy breakfast.
A cup of coffee is enough for breakfast
Avoid having more than a cup of coffee at breakfast. If you like it so much, have about 3 cups throughout the day, but not in one go.
Keep desserts for after dinner.
Do not have desserts in the morning. Keep them as an after dinner treat or before your workout. So, you will also want to avoid any chocolate or candy in the morning.
Keep these things in mind and you will have long to go.
