Body Type Specific Bodybuilding

No two people are the same and therefore, no two people should follow the same training routine. To become a successful body builder you first need to understand your body type, how it will respond to certain exercises and what your limits are. Let’s first determine what your body type is. There are three body types: ectomorph, mesomorph and endomorph. Once you know which body type you have you can design a body building routine that will maximize results. Before starting any exercise and/or diet routine, speak with your doctor first.
The first body type is called an ectomorph. Ectomorphs are people that are naturally thin and have almost no body fat. Ectomorphs tend to lean towards endurance sports such as running. But it is possible for an ectomorph to become a body builder. To do so, the first step is to increase the caloric intake by eating more small meals during the day. When you eat more to add calories you still need to be careful as to what types of foods you are eating and what kinds of calories you are adding. A high calorie diet does not mean an unhealthy diet. When ectomorphs get into the gym they should limit the amount of cardiovascular or aerobic exercise that they do. While it is important to warm up prior to weight lifting, the workout sessions should focus predominately on intense body building routines. Try to make it to the gym at least four times a week for a hard workout that uses all of the muscle groups. It’s not that easy for an ectomorph to gain muscles but it can be done with hard work.
Mesomorphs have the most enviable bodies. These are the people that can eat whatever they want and still look good. Mesomorphs fall into trouble though when they go on eating binges and skip their workouts. They feel that they have good genes and will always maintain a good body. While their physique may not change due to their eating habits, their health may be at risk. Mesomorphs can continue to eat as much as they normally do but they need to watch what they are eating and make sure that it is healthy. When they hit the gym, they should focus on targeting specific muscle groups.
The last group is the endomorphs. People in this group are able to gain muscle mass easily. Unfortunately, they are also able to gain unhealthy weight as well. Diet plays an important part in their body building routine. Endomorphs need to eat many small meals during the day and should stop eating at least three hours prior to going to bed. It is also important to drink a lot of water. Endomorphs have an easy time building muscle but they need to incorporate intense cardiovascular exercises to burn the fat that they tend to gain with ease.
