Best Six Pack Abs Exercises

August 12, 2009

musclesbuildingstroidsThere are different kinds of workouts available to build effective six-pack abs that can make our body attractive and slim. We can focus on various cardio activities that are intense workouts, interval training, free weight exercises that can be done at gyms to build superb six-pack muscles.

We can do it from our home or we can go to the gym or health club regularly to follow such muscle build routines. Not all such workouts need costly equipment and it can be done even at our home.

The first thing about six-pack abs is to make our abdominal muscles stronger and lose excess body fat. It is very simple to say but not that easy to do.

We need to do a lot of workouts like, crunches, sit-ups, leg-lifts, and toe touching exercises to concentrate on our abs and make them stronger and perfect. We must tone our abdominal muscles every day. Some of the common workouts that can help us build six pack abs are,

Crunches:

We must lie on the ground and cross our hands in front of our chest. Now, we should bend our knees up as high as they can go. We then raise our shoulders towards our knees only by using our abdominal muscles. The advantage is that your abs are pressed and you make them stronger.

Vacuum Exercise for Abs:

This is a very simple exercise that toughens our abdominal muscles. We must make a vacuum by sucking air inside our stomach and trying to hold it for around 10 seconds.

This is very easy and can be done anywhere even in the office and does not require any instruments and if done regularly your abs can stay fit and slim.

This workout can be done with a simple tool, which is like a raised chair that does not have any seat in it. It just has a rest for our two hands and we have to raise our legs high and low by staying on it. People find this difficult to do more than 25 times in a single session. It has to be done for around 30 minutes for good effects on the abs.

Toe Touching Exercises:

This exercise is quite tough, as it requires more intense labor and greater body flexibility. Lie on the floor and keep our legs straight. Now we must try to raise our legs and try to touch our toe tips with the help of our fingers. Since, it’s tough many can’t retain this position for even 20 secs.

Sit-ups and Sit-ups with Weights:

Normal sit-ups are very simple. We must lie on the ground, then raise our body by lifting our lower portion of the back with our shoulders, and then bring ourselves down once again. We should repeat it for a number of times to focus on our abs and ribs.

Sit-ups with weights are also the same but done with some extra free weight like dumbbells or bar bells. Just take a dumbbell in your home and do some normal sit-up exercises. We should also check that somebody is supporting our back while doing such workouts.
