We can remove them only by decreasing our weight. Weight loss can protect you from high blood pressure and minimizes the chances of a heart attack. Being overweight may also lead to deposits of high levels of cholesterol in the blood which is not desirable. Decreasing your weight by just 5-10% lessens the chance of a heart attack and improves the functioning of your heart. Weight loss can save you from two types of diabetes. To people suffering from diabetes, weight loss can control the amount of sugar in the blood and as a result, keep them healthier.
Physical rewards:
Being overweight can lead to cancer, especially in women. They can be affected with uterus cancer, breast cancer and colon cancer. Men are prone to cancer too because of obesity. They can develop prostate cancer and rectum cancer. Weight loss is a good cure for sleep apnea. It is a condition in which one would be unable to breathe for a short period of time and then snore heavily. This leads to light-headedness during the day and may cause heart failure. Losing weight can help us to prevent this problem or decrease its intensity. Weight loss can also be helpful in lessening the pain of osteoarthritis. If you are overweight, your knees and back are subjected to heavy levels of stress when you do physical activity. Cutting down upon your weight can lower the pressure on these joints and relieve you of the pain caused as a result of being overweight.
Social Impact:
One feels more confident of their ability if they lose weight. It can make you realize that you are capable of anything as losing weight is not an easy task. You have to possess a steely resolve to be dedicated to your aim of losing weight. You can also carry on with any activity of your choice like dancing, playing tennis, and doing workouts without any inhibitions. So, we can see that weight loss brings a list of valuable rewards with it.
