Aerobics are the kind of exercises that increase the flow of oxygen into the bold and hence there are long term benefits of aerobic exercises. A new type of exercise that has been introduced in aerobics is water aerobics. There are numerous benefits of water aerobics.

Water aerobics is a very challenging exercise as it includes weight lifting, running, jogging and stepping in water. It is a kind of exercise that will make you sweat and is a great stress buster. Water exercise programmes should be taken according to the need of the person. By changing the movements and the level of exertion one can make the water aerobic exercise regime beneficial for his health.

There are various benefits of water aerobics amongst them the best benefit is that it makes your muscles and joints exercise completely. As this exercise is done in water, no matter how much you perspire, your body will remain cool, for this reason water aerobics is popular in countries where weather conditions are quite warm and humid. Another benefit of water exercise is that it can be done at any age so it is also suitable for old age people; the reason is that water makes your body buoyant and hence reduces pressure on joints and muscles. Water aerobics is a non weight bearing exercise where water takes the weight of body, so there is no requirement of lower extremities.

There are several things that should be considered before taking up water aerobic exercise programmes, first and foremost a thorough check of your body is required before staring up this exercise. People who are prone to skin diseases are not encouraged to do water aerobics, if still some is interested in doing water aerobics then special acre must be taken like one should always apply antichlorine lotion , and must take shower before and after exercise. People suffering from diabetes should take special they should inform the instructor beforehand so that extra care is taken. Also make sure that the water temperature where exercises are to be performed should be ideal for caloric expenditure. The best place to perform water aerobics are indoor pools where temperature are controlled according to the weather.
