Benefits of Chocolate
Some of the food which really tickles your taste buds like wine, chocolate, coffee, beer and even bread were believed to be harmful for the body and the doctors generally told us to stay away from these things.
The main reason for this is that these things were considered to have a negative effect on the body making it shapeless and unhealthy. Basically these foods were considered to be unhealthy. Therefore, one had to think twice before eating these things even if we craved them.
But today the scenario is completely different.
Various research and studies have come out with surprising and unexpected results. The children have always been advised not to eat chocolates as they are were not considered good for health and they have harmful effect on the teeth. But the recent research in Italy has concluded that this may not be true and rich dark chocolate is healthy for the body.
It has the ability to lower the blood pressure. In addition to that it also lowers the risk of heart problems and some types of cancers.
So next time you eat dark chocolate don’t have any fear in your mind and just enjoy having it. It is also concluded that the white chocolate is not really a chocolate as it does not contain any coca solids.
If you have 100gms of dark chocolate for 15 days then you have succeeded in lowering your blood pressure and have made the functioning of insulin better. Another study in The Netherlands showed the similar results. But if you are overweight then it is very essential to beware, since chocolate is rich in fat and also high on calories.
It is better to take small quantities of chocolate as it really benefits the body but it is very essential to eat it in moderation in order to avoid the harmful effects of chocolate. Excess of any and every thing is bad, so exercise moderation and be careful to take small portions of it.
