There are numerous benefits of aerobic dance. It helps you to burn calories as walking swimming or jogging .Half an hour of sustained aerobic dancing can burn upto 300-400 calories. In a study conducted by aerobic dancers, where pedometers were attached to the dances it was found that each dancer covered five miles in a single evening.

Other benefits of aerobic dancing are cardiovascular conditioning.Normal regular exercises can lead to slower heart rate and that can result into low blood pressure. Aerobic dancing can give you a very good cardiovascular conditioning, it depends on how one dances, vigorous dances are recommended for people with low blood pressures.

Weight bearing bones are also strengthened during side to side movements of aerobic dancing, which can prevent from loss of bone mass. A thirty minute of vigorous aerobic dancing can make you feel good and you stress levels will also go down. Aerobic dancing is also very good for lungs as it supplies them more oxygen, which helps them to function better.

Aerobic Dancing also increases diameter and the count of the smaller blood vessels. It also helps in improving blood fats, it reduces cholesterol as many calories are burnt during dancing, and hence it reduces the risk of heart stroke.

Aerobic Dancing also helps in reducing the levels of sugar in blood which helps in preventing diabetes. It also tones your body and controls body weight. For some people aerobic dancing is a very good tool for boosting energy and getting rid of depression and also reduces tension associated with anxiety. It also helps in increasing body stamina which will help in reducing fatigue.

Recent studies have found out that regular aerobic dancers are less prone to colon, breast and endometrial cancers. Aerobic dancing prepares your body for old age and reduces the risk of faults and fractures in bones and joints.
