cellulitemodelWhen excess fat accumulates under the skin, it results in a dimpled or cottage cheese appearance on the outside of the skin. This problem is known as cellulite.

Unfortunately, this unsightly problem affects more than eighty percent of women. There are many products on the market, which can be used for cellulite treatment but more often than not, they do not work.

Some women resort to surgical procedures to have the cellulite removed but surgery does not prevent cellulite and often the woman is left with uncomfortable side effects. This article discusses several easy ways to treat cellulite at home with products that can be found in the home. You’ll feel like you’re at a spa.

One way to treat cellulite at home is to give yourself a body wrap that is designed to treat the problem areas. You can actually have a body wrap.

Choose a rainy day to stay at home and treat yourself. It’s inexpensive and easy to do. To make your own cellulite treatment body wrap you will need to buy a few small, inexpensive products. You will need to gather some previously used coffee grinds.  They work best if they are still warm. You will also need seaweed or kelp.

Take the warm coffee grinds and smooth them out over the area of skin that has cellulite. Next, place a layer of seaweed or kelp over the coffee grinds. Wrap the treated area in plastic wrap.

Take some towels and secure them over the area with the mixture on it. Now, sit back and relax. Pick up a good book or turn on some relaxing music.

Let the mixture sit on the affected area for about a half-an-hour. After your time is up, take off the towels, remove the plastic wrap, and wipe off as much of the seaweed and coffee grinds. Once everything has been removed, take a warm shower to get the remnants off of you.

After performing this body wrap, you should see results almost immediately. Within moments, you’ll notice that your skin is more taut and supple. If you want to do this body wrap as a form of cellulite treatment but cannot find seaweed at your local grocery market, you can still do it just using the coffee grinds and some plastic wrap.

It’s a bit more difficult this way because the seaweed helps to hold the coffee grinds in place. You can also use gauze to hold the coffee grinds in place before applying the plastic wrap.

If you went to a salon and had this procedure done you could expect to pay up to $300.  It’s definitely cheaper at home.
