Anxiety and Dietary Impact

To control the Anxiety and its impacts, it is essential to recognize the causative factors. Anxiety may be a response to stress including nutritional stress. The article is dedicated to deal with nutritional factors to overcome anxiety and panic attacks associated with anxiety. The success in dealing with anxiety, panic attacks and agoraphobia without concentrating on diet is negligible. Many health professionals believe that handling diet can be complete cure of panic and anxiety. But of course, the factors such as persona, solving the general adjustment syndrome, methods of tackling disappointment, observation and conclusion are equally important to solve the issue completely.  It has been proven based on results that this kind of program involving all the factors have achieved 80% success rate for the patients.

A carbohydrate diet comprising of breads, cakes, coffee, sodas, bagels and rolls are proved to aggravate the problem. It is because refined sugars present in these foods add to blood sugar, thus, raising the blood sugar content. This instant rise in blood sugar causes the pancreas to secrete insulin to trim down the blood sugar. In a long run, year after years our system is overstrained and leads to the large quantity of insulin produced.  The abundance reduces blood sugar more than required causing hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemia symptoms include anxiety, uneasiness, gasping, increased heart rate, palpitations etc. In such cases, many professionals treat anxiety with diet tackling only.

Conditioning of diet is another kind of treatment where the mind is conditioned to certain responses. However, diet is the first thing to rectify.  One should initiate the efforts by abstaining all forms of white breads rolls, fries, cakes, white potatoes, processed rice and sugar etc. Do not consume anything containing caffeine. Fructose should be avoided. Even calorie free sugar should not be consumed.  One should maximize diet of non-processed cheese, vegetables, fresh fruits, nuts, meats, eggs, and brown breads. Natural sweeteners such as honey can be used.
