A Guide To Applying Mascara

October 27, 2009

mascaraapplicationMany women use mascara. Mascara can be used for so many reasons. Some women who have light eyelashes use mascara to make their eyelashes look darker.

These women choose mascara in either black or brown color. Other women have thick lashes and they need a product to help separate the lashes. Mascara can also be used to lengthen eyelashes.

Sometimes it is used to add an extra boost of color to enhance the eyes now that mascara is being produced in a variety of fashion colors.

When a woman applies mascara to her eyelashes, the final product is long, thick lashes with a touch of curl at the ends. By applying mascara to the eyelashes, the eyes open up and appear larger and more vibrant.

It can really enhance a woman’s beauty. If applied correctly, the mascara will make others do a double take and wonder if the woman’s lashes are naturally that long and thick or if they are wearing fake eyelashes.

Some women have a hard time applying mascara. When they apply the beauty product to their eyelashes, the mascara does not go on smoothly and clumps along the lashes.

This can cause the eyelashes to stick together. It also makes the woman’s face look harsher and excessively made up. Clumpy eyelashes are not the look that women are trying to achieve.

So how can a woman apply mascara to her eyelashes without having it look clumpy? How does she create long, thick eyelashes? One way to get this look is to wear fake, glued-on eyelashes. The other, easier way is to wear mascara. But there is a trick to applying mascara so that it does not clump.

This secret comes from personal makeup stylists. How do stylists apply mascara so flawlessly? They shake their hand while applying the mascara. Here’s how it’s done.

First, when the mascara wand is taken out of the tube it has an excess of mascara on the brush. The excess mascara needs to be wiped off the wand by using a tissue.

Next, apply one coat of mascara to the eyelashes. While applying the mascara ease the wand gently across your lashes to help separate them. Then, take an old mascara brush that has been cleaned thoroughly and run it over the eyelashes. This will help smooth out the mascara and take off any excess. Once the first coat has dried, apply another coat.

Manufacturers have caught onto the secret of jiggling the hand while applying mascara. So they have decided to invent mascara applicators that have small motors in them. The motor causes the wand to vibrate similar to the zigzag motion that was previously created.
