5 Healthy Weight Loss Shake Recipes
It is never too late to begin. The time to begin taking care of your health is now. It is indeed a daunting task to start with a healthier eating routine and a regular workout regime.
However, you can begin your small step towards a better and healthier living by making a change in your food habits. You can begin by drinking a shake that is healthy and helps you lose weight. You can make it yourself and it is really filling and very delicious.
Your daily food should include at least five servings of vegetables and fruits for ensuring a nutritional and healthy, balanced diet. You cannot expect to be able to consume them in the kind of lifestyle we have.
We are all in a rush and we have settled for ready-to-eat foods, junk food, and a pack-and-go type of lifestyle. These foods are filling, but seriously lack healthy nutritional value.
Kids have taken to this habit, after seeing us do it and have started to enjoy calorie filled, zero- food value snacks. In such a scenario, the shakes that you make at home will not only give you the required nutrition, it will also be easy to make.
Strawberry Banana Shake
Take a cup of yogurt (low-fat) with four strawberries (medium size) and a banana. Then add three teaspoons of honey. You can add protein powder also.
You can use ice cubes if you so desire. Blend them all for 20 seconds. It can even be frozen for later consumption.
Veggie Shake
A Veggie shake can give you a big load of nutrients. Take your favourite variety of vegetable; remove its skin to get rid of the chemicals. Put it in the juicer. Add a cup of low fat yogurt. A dash of lemon might add to the taste.
Tangy Orange shake
Take orange juice (6 oz) and put it in blender. Use half cup of low fat yogurt as well as half a cup of skimmed milk. You can add one-fourth teaspoon of vanilla extract. Also add ice cubes. If you find it too sour, you can add two teaspoons of honey to make it sweet.
Proteinlicious Shake
Take two scoops of your favourite protein powder; blend it with a three-fourth cup of fresh pineapple. Then add 10 oz of water. You can use ice cubes if you need to.
Mango Shake
Take half a mango, peel it, and add it to a cup full of low-fat yogurt. Then blend it. You can add a scoop of protein powder. Ice cubes may be added to taste.
