#1 – Coffee

Coffee has been known to increase the amount of acne. Even if you drink coffee and do not see an acne problem, it is best to limit the amount of coffee that you drink.

#2 – Eat healthy

A healthy diet is important at any stage of life but it is especially important during puberty. A young person needs certain vitamins that are essential to promoting healthy skin. Eat more fruits and vegetables.

#3 – Clean skin

It is important to keep the skin clean. You should wash your face twice a day. Try using an anti-bacterial soap. Wash your face gently and avoid scrubbing.

#4 – Smoking

There is nothing good about smoking. Studies have linked smoking to an increase in acne. If you do smoke, you need to quit in order to keep yourself healthy.

#5 – Acne products

There are acne treatment products available at drugstores. It is important to find the right one for your skin type and skin disorder. Do not use too many acne treatment products all at once. This can cause your skin to react badly and increase the amount of acne.

#6 – Wash your hair

It is important that you wash your hair regularly. When dirt and oil build up in your hair, it causes acne to form in the hairline and on the forehead. Keep your hair clean to avoid getting acne in your hairline.

After you get done exercising or playing a sport you need to wash your face and body. When you sweat, the dirt and oil generated by your body can produce bacteria. These bacteria will clog the skin’s pores.

You should wash your face first thing when you wake up in the morning. You also need to wash your face before you go to bed at night. If you wear makeup during the day, the makeup can clog your pores. It needs to be removed prior to going to bed.

Exercise is a great way to relieve stress. Since many people break out with acne due to stress, try exercising to get rid of the stress.

#10 – Water

Water is essential for maintaining a healthy body. It flushes toxins out of the body and helps keep the skin hydrated. Drink 8 glasses of water each day to keep your skin hydrated and your body free of toxins.
