10 reasons to use a treadmill

Our lives have become so hectic that there is hardly any time to spend on going for long walks. Treadmills come to the rescue here. They offer a much needed workout without having us spend any extra time exercising.
If you have not yet caught on to this healthy trend, then read on to find some reasons to convince you to get on the treadmill.
It is safe and comfortable
You do not have expose yourself to any rain, snow, wind or ice. You will not have to encounter any wild animals, traffic, dogs or any such hazard. You can have a safe and healthy workout right there in the comfort of your own home.
It can be pretty unsafe during snow or rain, and you can make that an excuse to not exercise. However, a treadmill leaves us with no excuse at all.
You can comfortably work on your running form
You can work on improving your running form when you are running on the treadmill. You can do so in front of the mirror so you get a better idea of what your present form is.
In addition, you are at home and so there is no awkwardness about working on your form.
Workout while you watch TV
You no longer have to worry about spending too much time in front of the TV because you can pick your favourite show and workout on the treadmill as you watch TV.
You can go from walking on to running
Making this transition is not always easy. However, on the treadmill, it becomes easy enough to go from walking to running.
A wider range of workouts
If you gotten yourself an advanced treadmill, then it will have some inbuilt training programs. They also have several other tools to help you measure calories burnt, your speed, distance and time. This will all help you make a better workout.
It monitors your heart rate well
There are built in functions for this. The more advanced the treadmill, the better these functions will be. These treadmills are equipped with a function that allows the treadmill to either slow down or even speed up depending on your heart rate.
It is low impact
This is a low impact workout with minimum to least amount of injury. Therefore, a treadmill offers you protection against injury while helping you to workout.
It helps to even train for marathon
There have been examples when people have trained on treadmills for a marathon. It is more attractive to run indoors compared to going outside.
It helps to associate a number with your workout
It tells you the number of calories you managed to burn, your speed and distance and things like this, which will help you improve your workout.
You can workout with music
When at home on a treadmill, the least you have to worry about is safety or the musical taste of any one else. You can put on any music you like and walk or run to it.
