Introduction

Facial masks are a creamy mask that is applied onto the face for hygiene effect and to cleanse or to make facial skin smoothen. The mask often contains essential mineral, vitamin and fruits’ extracts. The most common among all are cactus and cucumber that give the nourishment to the skin of the face and neck. There are many types of facial masks for different purposes since some of them are called as deep cleansing that cleanse the pores that are clogged. The post application effects can be revitalizing, rejuvenating or refreshing every facial cell.

Spending plenty of money every year regularly to buy the cosmetic products really makes no sense. Surprisingly, you spend 75% of cosmetic products that are associated to the face! There are hundreds of facial products with claim of having all natural ingredients to offer beauty to the facial skin and having great results if used regularly. It becomes then difficult to decide one out of those hundreds. There are wide varieties of cosmetics facial masks available in supermarkets, corner store, health departmental stores as well as one can purchase such masks from the internet and TV.

Facial masks – not same for all

Though we all are humans but the most amazing thing is we do not have same faces (ditto) or the same texture of the same skin type. And, it is therefore that the products that work on your buddy’s skin, may not work for your skin and vice versa. If you purchase products for your skin type, it might show adverse effects as there might be some chemicals or ingredients that could cause reactions on your skin. Moral of the story is – there is no single facial mask that works for all the faces!

Facial mask is very commonly used by women, but men can also use such masks. However, for them, there are special masks since their skin is comparatively rougher and tougher. The masks, after being applied are washed off with tepid water or some of the beauty therapists \believe peeling off by hands. The normal duration for wearing the facial masks depends upon type of mask, but normally it can be three minutes to half an hour, and sometimes includes keeping material onto the face for the whole night. Looking at the facial skin, the masks are selected since facial masks are not same for all.

The masks – natural rejuvenator

Honey as the main ingredient is a very popular mask since it smoothes the skin and cleanses the clogged pores. Another good homemade remedy includes a slice of cucumber on the eyes that is also considered as simple though useful facial mask. Another popular facial mask includes using autumn apple, which is great to have skin glowing. Some of the beauty experts favor applying egg mask onto the face. For this, one should separate the egg white from the yolk and then put the white onto the face and leave it for about 20 min. Rinse it off with lukewarm water. This facial mask makes the skin smoother and healthier since it refreshes and tightens the facial skin in a gentle way.

Apple and Honey Mask are also popular among women. One can take an apple and then grate it. This grated apple should be then mixed with the honey and applied onto the face. It is very useful for oily skin. Facial mask made up of juices of tomatoes, cucumbers and lemons is also great to iron the wrinkles. For this, take those juices and then add a little calamine powder or gram flour into it. Mix it to form a paste and apply onto the face. Rinse off with lukewarm water when it becomes dry.

The facial masks are preferred to apply regularly for their optimum results. However, only facial mask may not do wonders making the skin overall attractive and hence, along with such masks, dietary habit and modification of lifestyle is also required. One should drink plenty of water and fiber or roughage rich diet such as green leafy vegetables. One should not remain constipated since constipation aggravates the conditions that are associated with pimples. Restricting diet that consists of spice and oil is must as they produce more sweating and body heat.
