If you want to make your eyes look attractive, then try giving them Smokey eyes look with the help of makeup. This one is very popular eye makeup. This makeup looks good on any type of faces. The main thing about this eye makeup is, in this makeup the eyelids are made very dark and the brow bone is also high lightened. This draws immediate attention from others. Smokey eyes look will help you in looking sexy and attractive. Besides the classy look getting it done is also quite simple. Many women think painting the eyes with dark colors gives the Smokey look to it but it is not true. To do this makeup you will need to take proper care. You will need to follow certain steps to get this sexy look. These steps are explained in detail here.

Steps to get Smokey Eyes Look :

Step1: Choosing the eye shadow colors – For getting the look perfect always use, powdery eye shadows. Black and grey color eye shadows are the most commonly used eye shadow colors for getting the Smokey eyes look. But if you want, you can always try some other colors like violet, coffee, dark green, copper, purple, dark blue, dark pink or chocolate. The eye shadow color shades should blend properly with your eye color, skin tone, and hair color. Or else everything will look messed up. Many women try to buy the eye shadow color shades, which match with their outfit but this alone is not correct. You should consider the entire three things mentioned above too. You will need to buy two color eye shadows, which should coordinate with each other well. Try to buy one darker color and other light color eye shadow.

For Blue Eyes : If your eyes are blue, then along with black or grey color eye shadow, dark blue, violet or purple color eye shadow will also look nice. These colors will make your blue eyes appear bluer.

For Green or Hazel Eyes : Black or grey eye shadow will suit you also. In addition you can try dark green, purple, plum color or brown color eye shadow too.

For Brown Eyes : In addition to black or grey, you can try coffee; brown or copper color eye shadow.

After choosing the feature eye shadow, you will need to choose the supporting eye shadow. You must take a light shade eye shadow for this purpose. The two eye shadow colors should blend with each other properly. To get the soft look you can try light peach, sand color, or champagne color. If you want to have a dramatic look then try contrast color like white.

Step 2: Choosing the Eyeliner Pencil – The eyeliner pencil color must be chosen in such a way that either it is of the same color or of complementary color to your feature eye shadow color. For getting the Smokey eyes look always use liners, which can blend easily with the eye shadow color. Always use powder liners, as liquid liners will not give you soft and stylish finish.

Step 3: Applying the Foundation Base – Generally while applying the makeup, you put the foundation base on all over your face before applying the eye makeup. But while getting the Smokey look, you should apply the eye makeup first. By doing so if in case some of your eye shadow falls on your face then your entire makeup will not become bad. After finishing the eye makeup, you can put the foundation on your face. You can easily apply foundation below your eyes also once your eye makeup is done. To get the smooth eyes look, you will need to apply a thin layer of foundation on your eyelids to before starting the eye makeup. After the foundation on eyelids, apply a thin layer of face powder on your eyelids. This will help in setting the foundation properly on your eyelids.

Step 4: Applying the Eyeliner – You should use any dark color eyeliner as it will look nice along with your feature eye shadow. In the outward direction, of the corner of the eye, try to make a thicker line. You can make your work simple by using a powder liner instead of the liquid one. If you have large eyes then you can apply the eyeliner from corner to corner but if your eyes are small then apply the eyeliner from the middle of the bottom eyelash line.

Step 5: Applying the Eye shadows – Use a larger eye shadow brush, as it makes the applying of eye shadow easier. The feature eye shadow color intensity should be more along the eyelash line and in the outer corners of the eyes. Use the smudge and blend technique so that the eyeliner and eye shadow mix together perfectly.

Step 6: Applying the Mascara – Before applying the mascara always curl your eyelashes, as it will open your eyes up. Apply the mascara in thin coats. Better to apply it in two to three coats.
