After applying the Eyeshadow and the eyeliner, the mascara is applied to the eyelashes. Applying mascara has to done with great care. If you are confident about applying the mascara then you can apply it to all of the upper lashes from one corner of the eye to the other corner. But in case you think that you want a simple method to apply the mascara then it is better to coat the outer two-thirds of the upper lashes. Here are the steps given in detail about the correct method of applying mascara.
Step to apply Mascara:
You will need black-brown mascara and a curved brush. The curved brush will help you in applying the mascara carefully only to the lashes without affecting the eye shadow that you just applied to the eyelids. You will have to apply mascara in two to three coats. Better to keep some time in between the two coats, to let the mascara dry properly on the lashes.
The first coat of the mascara will be the light coat. From the mascara tube, pull the mascara wand and lightly wipe it across a tissue to remove the excess of the mascara from the wand. Throw the tissue away from you and apply the mascara to your lashes. Your fingers should be clean. Mascara is a messy thing if it falls anywhere else. Hence to save your time, do all this carefully.
The mascara should be applied vertically from the lash root to the lash tip. If you want coat the mascara from the lash root to the tip or start applying the mascara from the lash root and stop when you cover a quarter of the lash. Then after that wiggle the brush back and forth slowly till you reach to the tip of the lash. This will surely cover all the hairs on your lash.
After this keep the mascara wand back into the tube and take a lash comb or another clean mascara wand and run the bristles through the still wet lashes. You can separate the hairs nicely by doing so. Then repeat the same procedure after the second and third coat.
Things to remember while applying Mascara:
Check that your eyelashes are clean before applying the mascara. Before starting with applying mascara, be sure that you are done with the Eyeshadow. If you want to do some correction in the applied Eyeshadow, do it before applying the mascara.
The strokes of the mascara wand should be applied in an outward direction with your eyes wide open.
The mascara has to be applied from inside to the outside of the lashes. As you approach the end of the lash, wiggle your wand a little. This way the mascara will be applied on each and every eyelash. This will also make your lashes look full.
Tips for applying Mascara:
Buy a new mascara tube, if your old mascara appears thick. It is hard to apply thicker mascara.
While applying mascara place the wand at the base of the lash, this will make it clump free.
Take care to coat the hair that is very close to the skin. To make the lashes look longer, coat the tips of the lashes two or three times more.
In case the mascara goes into your eyes by mistake, wash your eye with water.
Once you open the mascara tube, you should use it for maximum four months and then buy a new one.
If you have recently had a pink eye disease, replace your mascara. The germs can easily stay on the wand and you may get the infection back.
Avoid giving your mascara to someone else, as this may cause eye infection.
Never to apply mascara without looking into the mirror, as it might go wrong.
Practice applying mascara all by yourself. You can surly do this with perfection after repeated practice.
If you get any infection after applying the mascara, then try changing the brand of your mascara. You might be allergic to some color and brands.
Never to sleep without removing the mascara and other makeup from your face, as it could create skin related troubles.
