Out of all the skins, oily skin has very active sebaceous glands secreting more oil leaving the skin look duller and greasier. This would end up in attracting a lot of dirt that then clogs the pores. Oily skin itself is caused because of over-active glands that produce a substance called sebum, a natural healthy lubricant for the skin. When the skin would produce too much sebum, it will become thick and heavy in texture.

For this, the simple face pack for oily skin goes mashing six strawberries with 1 tsp of Brandy, 2 tsp of breadcrumbs, 2 tbsp of fuller's earth and some drops of rosewater. Mix the ingredients all well and apply thick layer onto the face and also onto the neck and keep on for about ½ hour.
As strawberries contain natural Vitamin C and some acidic properties they turn the skin sparkling clean. Breadcrumb helps to exfoliate dead skin while fuller's earth tightens the pores and brandy helps to add some glory.
Oily skin might be because of some heredity problem, disturbed hormonal levels, dietary habits, pregnancy, and humidity or because of certain kind of cosmetics used. The excess oils secreted by the sebaceous glands are more during adolescence and diminish with age. Cucumber face pack can be made by taking 1 tbsp of cucumber juice and equal quantity of mint juice. Mix them and add some ½ tsp of peppermint extract. Mix all the ingredients well and apply onto the face. Leave it for dry and then rinse off with lukewarm water. This face pack is very beneficial for oily skin.
Soak some multani clay powder in plain water for about 30 minutes. Beat the egg and blend all the components altogether. Also mix that soaked multani clay powder in this mixture. Apply this onto the face for about 30 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water. This works well on oily skin.
Potato face pack is time tested and trusted homemade face packs for oily skin. For this, take one tsp of potato juice, 1 tsp of multani clay and blend them together and apply onto the face. Leave this till it becomes dry. Wash it with plain water and finally, rinse with cold water
Papaya face pack is considered to be simplest though effective face pack for oily skin. Take 2 tbsp of papaya pulp and apply it onto the oily face and let it dry. Then rinse off with lukewarm water, to augment the therapy, add lemon juice to it.
