Acne is one of the skin disorders that can occur on any site of the body including the chest and/or torso. Acne on the chest can also be caused due to sweat gets when getting trapped between nightdresses and the skin. Closefitting warm weather apparels can also ambush sweat and worsen the breakout.

It is obvious that during sleep, every one of us normally turns up; turning like this can create frictions as the chest and back rub against the bedspreads. Even adorning ourselves can give rise to such condition. There are innumerable people who are suffering from chest acne at sometime during their lives.

Common to everyone

A lot of adults suffer from chest acne. Based on medical observance, women are more prone to get suffered from this skin disease as compared to that of the men. About 54% of women and 40% of men suffer from this troublesome situation. Zit, pimple, blackhead, whitehead, pustule, and cyst are the common expressions of chest acne.

It is observed that chest acne gets out of control during sunny days and/or summer. Sportspersons who use sport gears all the times are at high risks. The occurrence of chest acne in women is greater since they wear bra that abrade their skins.

What to seek in chest acne treatment

The most important thing among all is keeping the pores clean. One has to emphasize on hygiene since that is one of the best things that can minimize the formation of cystic acne on the chest. There are many steps to help to prevent the chest acne. Since chest acne affects both; adults and teenagers there is no special instruction for anyone.

The thing here to notice is though chest acne is hidden easily under clothing, it can still create some discomforts and irritations. The chest area might get constantly irritated by necklaces that when combines with perspiration and skin oils and dead skin cells naturally worsens the chest acne condition.

Just follow these simple steps to get rid of chest acne –

Take a shower after performing any therapy onto acne. And then, use 2 per cent of salicylic acid solution that works as great cleanser onto the affected area using cleaned fingers or makeup brush.

If possible, wear only loose-fitting apparels like linen or cotton, especially during sunny days and the whole summer session.

Oral antibiotics are effective removing chest acne but only after consulting physician. However, never squeeze chest acne since it would then spread to other sites of the body.

Go for non-comedogenic body lotion for chest acne. Benzoyl peroxide can be successfully used before going to the bed.

Avoid wearing tight-fitted collars or necklines and select the clothing that do not touch or constantly touch your chest. Such types of clothing trap perspiration and then it mixes up with the natural oil of the body. When sweat and oil are not capable escaping from the body, they can chock-up the skin’s pores and cause chest acne.

Use some lotion that contains natural anti-acne herbs such as Aloe vera, Neem, Turmeric, Garcinia, Butea and licorice. They can be used in the form of paste – cosmetic lotion and they can also be consumed if available in the form of pills or syrups. They all are natural acne treating agents as they purify the blood and are mild antibacterial killing the bacteria those are accumulated underneath the chest acne.

Apply holy basil decoction with little quantity of honey added. Use cotton swab or gauze piece for the application. This should not be covered at least for an hour. Practice this natural remedy for about 1 month to get maximum benefits.

Some of the beauty experts believe that application of simple toothpaste works many times. Since it is a topical treatment and there is no harm or side effect trying this, one can surely go for this simple though effective treatment. This treatment has no scientific data but word-of-mouth has made this popular across the world. For this, simply take any sort of toothpaste and apply little bit of it onto the chest acne. Leave it on there for about ½ hour and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Practice this for about one month and you may notice favoring results.
