Our ears produce the earwax naturally in the ear canal. This protects our inner ear from the external impurities which might be harmful for our ears. Earwax buildup varies from person to person. In some people, it is more and this can become a problem.

This wax blocks the hearing nerve and the transmission of impulses from the inner ear to the brain is affected. This reduces the hearing ability of a person. It also gives a very uncomfortable feeling as if something is going to burst or there is a sense of constant pressure. This Earwax buildupmay also product its own sound which can be confusing to the brain to interpret.

It is advisable not to try to remove this Earwax buildup in the inner ear. You must take the help of ENT specialist who can use some specialty tool to get rid of this wax. Earwax buildup is a natural and healthy process to protect the ear from dirt and infection. But it is not a good thing to happen if it starts building up in the back of the ear. The person suffering from Earwax buildupwill have acute ear pain, some hearing loss and a ringing sound.

There are few things you can do to get this wax out of your ear or to get the temporary relief. You can use the wax softening ear drops which can be bought without the prescription. Just lie down and put few drops in the ear and stay for around 20 minutes.

You should never try to remove this wax with the help of a swab or a stick. This can seriously damage the eardrum. It can also cause ear canal infection. If the pain continues and if you get some fever, you should call your doctor.

To prevent excessive Earwax buildup, avoid putting anything deep inside your ear, use ear plugs whenever necessary and watch for the symptoms so that you can get timely treatment.
