Massages in Various Conditions (Sciatica)

Most often this is due to lumbar disc prolapsed. Now this can be due to injury, trauma to the vertebral column, or to the nerve itself. Sometimes disorders of the hip joint like fibrositis and some disorders of pelvis also cause this syndrome.

Certain special oils like vishagarbha or prasarani oil is used to treat this disease. The affected part is massaged along with medicated oil.
