The Auto Massage

This comes under the chinese massage. As the name suggests it is done by one’s own hands. It is performed in perticular timings.

It has two goals:

First is improving blood circulation at microcirculation level including head and the ears. This circulatory regularization makes the functions of the brain (and of its nerve centres) and of the ears standardization possible. The effect comes at long term is to reduce the giddinesses.

The second effect is to ensure a good relief, by improving the sleep at night and on by ensuring the form during the day. This is not a treatment which works within fraction of seconds and immediately. But with the regularity and keenness one can get rid of all type of giddiness and worries.

These massages are taught systematically at the centers of neurology in hospitals of Chinese medicine in China. It is believed that they are a useful corollary, even essential medicamentous treatments and with grasses, acupuncture and the tuina.

Massage to be made with the bed while going to lie down

In this person is made to sit on the edge of the bed. Breath quitely and take care that your hands are quite warm. Now join two hands palm against palm. With the same posture of hands carry them towards face until the back of cranium, further possible. This is repeated three times. Afterwards separate them and press the center of eyebrows.

Now reach to the top of the head by keeping well distance between two hands and repeat this for about three times.

Now come down to the temples on each side with the same fashion. Massage for couple of minutes and repeat this for three times too. Then fold two indices in the center part of the forehead just in front of the line of the hair. Then keep continue doing that gradually at temples following the line of the hair, to the ears. Repeat this also three times.

This procedure is repeated three times under the eyes (with caution), base of noes, cheeks and finally chin. Finally at end one has to put one hand on an another. Making the shape of the shell. Then those are placed on the navel and start making clock wise rotation. This is done very gently till one finds warm over the area. Broaden the circle and start covering whole the abdomen.

To carry out with the rising

This helps in circulation of the energy and blood at the head and especially in the ears.

In this one has to start pinching of the eyebrows at the basis of the top of the nose and continue up to the ears. Repeat this three times. The same technique is adopted starting from the chin to the base of ears. This time one has to do the procedure at the lobe of the ear on each side. Repeat this too three times.

After this procedure, it is needful to carry out very light pressure with circular massage on certain points as described below…

  1. Just above the point of the ear
  2. On about two centimeter above the first point.
  3. Just in front of the ear. This is where the depression is formed while the mouth is opened.
  4. Just behind the jaw, under the ear lobe.
  5. On the top of the nape of the neck which is the base of cranium.

One forms a shell of each hand and one supports the index on the major one. then places the hands thus formed on the ears, but without exerting a pressure on the ears. The ends of the fingers are moved towards the back of the head. Then the major index finger is slightly tapped. The duration is almost a minute. Then approach the palms of the hands at the ear by carrying out a pressure and then suddenly withdraw the two hands off the ears.

At the beginning of afternoon, before or after the nap

In this one has to start from the interior corner of the eye, just above the junction of eyelids and make them carry out a small circular motion. Clockwise four rotations and four reverses to that are done.

Now open fist is formed and the thumb is pressed gently on the temples. There are four rotation required for good benefit. Afterwards one has to push second phalangeal articulation of the index of the interior angle of the eye, until the end of the eyebrows.

Then repeat the circular massage of the inch to the interior angle of the eye. But when you reverse the direction pushing along the orbit follows it. Both are repeated at least for times.

At the level of pupils, below eyes (approx. a centimeter down) points are massaged circular with caution. Then a circular massage is done on the point at the base of cranium. This could be carried out with index or the major middle finger.
